1012 × 638 pixels
Minimum whole-pixel canvas for the example 85.6 × 54 mm size at 300 DPI, without bleed.
Enter both image dimensions to check an existing image.
This checks pixel counts and proportions only. It cannot detect blur, compression, tiny text, colour accuracy or whether an image has been artificially enlarged.

Pixels = millimetres ÷ 25.4 × DPI. The calculator rounds up to a whole pixel to meet the selected target. For a canvas with bleed, it adds twice the bleed to both finished dimensions before calculating.
Example: 85.6 ÷ 25.4 × 300 = approximately 1011.02, rounded up to 1012 pixels. The other side, 54 ÷ 25.4 × 300, rounds up to 638 pixels. A portrait layout swaps the width and height.
What if my image has different proportions?
A mismatch may need cropping or extra margins. Do not stretch a face or logo just to make it fit. Ask the design team to confirm placement and inspect the final proof.
Does increasing DPI make a blurry photo sharp?
No. Changing a DPI label or enlarging pixels does not restore missing detail. Start with the clearest available original image and confirm that it remains readable at the final size.
